Having never got around to play it, if it does I will enjoy it.
Or a game where Superman has gone evil and you're job it to take him down.
My daughter has been smashing Pepper Pig and Paw Patrol this month. It's cute to watch.
I have digital edition console. I would still want the disc if buying a collectors edition. They could do it like when I buy movies (they come with physical and digital codes) if they felt generous. But if I am buying something to collect, I want to know it is collectible or tangible for as long as it is looked after in my possession.
AA and Indies is where it is at.
Very little chatter on this site about this game.
I picked it up. Never played any of these asymmetrical games... I just like the movies.
It is so much fun! It could do with a couple of additional maps (which are coming), but to me this is the most online fun I have had in years! I just play billy-no-mates and find the rando community hilarious to play with... it got me mic'ing up with strangers its so good.
I feel your vibe. The last time I bought a console brick and mortar was Gamecube. I picked up a silver one with the Windwaker bundle... carrying it back to the car, racing home to unbox it was magic.
Sadly I now only get that feeling when I come home with a new powertool from Wickes. Been kicking arse with my mitre saw though, life changing!
Totally agree. The games right now have been solid, but so far a bit safe (Returnal contradicting) in terms of releases. I want them to get a bit more experimental a bit... Motorstorm, Twisted Metal, Ridge Race, Wipeout... even PaRappa the Rapper. I know these aren't the biggest titles, and I love the single player narrative games, I just want them to mix it up a bit more. I played Uncharted, GOW, Horizon ZD so hard on PS4 era, but by the end that was all they were serving last gen. ...
More likely a slim, more cost effective manufacturing of the current consoles.
I am generally a "double dipper" when consoles cycle out, they FOMO their way into my living room. But this gen it has been a fairly slow start for both in terms of killer apps. With some exception, most games are still cross gen... you have a bunch of us waiting for that real blockbuster "I haven't seen that" kind of game to release, you have others still waiting for the...
I was late to PS3 and Pacific Rift was the first game I picked up on it... huge miss to not have one on PS4, hope it gets some love on PS5 (as well as Ridge Racer and Wipeout).
Thr only game franchise that consistently hits its own hype.
I'm not arguing for the comment you replied to. As that is a flippant pointless remark.
But I would argue there are clear almost hazeless days in the real world... where you feel like you can see forever. So I just disagree with how you perceive nature... but that might be a factor of where you live.
If monopoly is a concern are you aware of Embracer group owning 115 studios and always buying up more? Or Tencent? Microsoft acquisitions seem big, but are a drop in the ocean when you look what is happening beyond the console manufacturers.
It's a huge disappointment for me. I am a big Halo fan of the Bungie era, but 343i with the exception of the Master Chief collection (after tons of patches) have slowly killed the franchise for me.
I even like the bare bones of this one. The multiplayer is fun, it's just so lacking in content... and with no Forge and custom content it is hard to play beyond a month or two.
But there have been new games. Elden Ring, Dying Light 2, LEGO star wars saga. There have been a good chunk of solid multiplats to keep people busy. I myself am 6 months behind releases on what I am playing, I can't keep up.
Doom(2016) and Titanfall 2 were the last two I genuinely enjoyed playing through.
I can't wait, everyone has been telling me how fantastic this game is the past year...
@sagapo - I am so annoyed I didn't think of that back in the day myself!
I am on a salary. When we crunch, we don't receive additional pay.
There are different reasons for crunch. Some I can stomach, some I can't. When we do it to save some idiots arse who have allowed scope to creep, nobody is happy. When we crunch because we just want to wrap something to a higher than expectation standard, the atmosphere is very different.
When starting a new project you do not need to entire studio immediately on development. There are artists and programmers at the company that can be kept busy and profitable remaking a game like this, whilst simultaneously beginning pre-production of any new venture with a smaller core team. It helps keep people employed and developing skills during project gaps.
